The match
The visitors, Leicesterford City, broke the deadlock in the 12th minute with Lehlohonolo Mtshali scoring a beautiful goal from a set piece.
The hosts leveled matters in the 27th minute through a Rai Vloet penalty kick after midfielder Kayden Francis was brought down inside the box area.
In the 37th minute, teenage sensation Emile Witbooi was brought down by Leicesterford City’s Kamogelo Segopa on the edge of the penalty area. The referee initially pointed to the penalty spot, but after consultation with his assistant, he changed his decision to a free kick just outside the box, but showed Segopa a straight red card, reducing Leicesterford to 10 men.
The first half of play ended one a piece as did the rest of the match.
Following this draw, the Citizens climbed to 11th position on the log with just one point from 2 games, while Leicesterford City climbed to 6th position with 4 points from their first 2 games this season.
